  • Audi 016 and 01A transmission?

    Hi Iam in need of some assitance and help, I have a audi 01A 5 speed quattro box and was wondering if the internalls are sumwhat interchangalble between the 016 gearbox, Mainly the differancials, if anyone can help i would appreciate it

    Unlikely, the diff on the 016 is on the opposite side of the gearbox as the 01A and 01E

      Unlikely, the diff on the 016 is on the opposite side of the gearbox as the 01A and 01E-- are you really shure of that????? if you do have the gearkode, you may use the unit as is...( ratio)... andthe cron and pinion are a SET.. so you cant use the cron ring gear from one tranny, or rear end, and the pinon from another....( you may use any box anyway, they do fit....) ask if you arent shure...

        Yup, take a look. On the 016 the diff is fitted from the right side of the gearbox, and the 01E 01A diff is fitted from the left.
