S6 2.2T CRG auto box alternatives

Hi,

My S6 2.2T CRG automatic gearbox is about to die. Repair is going to be very costly, so i decided to try to find a replacement. Since there are no CRG for sale in my area, I'm considering other options...
I have heard rumors that auto gearbox from the C4 V6 2.8 (CRF, CYS) will fit directly and work perfectly good in the S6 2.2T. Is that true

The Autoboxes in quesiton were made by ZF and are in the 4HP18 family.

The UrS4s used an CBF 4 spd autobox, PN 01F300041MX (where "X" = rebuild now).

The UrS6s used the CRG 4 spd autobox, PN 01F300041QX (where "X" = rebuild).

The V6s also used 4HP18 series autoboxes which might bolt up to the AAN but would very likely be quickly killed by the increased torque of the AAN over that of the ABC or AAH V6s.
