ABY 6 Speed Gearbox Oil Leak

Had the car in for wheel alignment today and noticed an oil leak on the gearbox (nearside).

I have attached a photo of where the oil was seeping from (marked with yellow arrows on pic)

My mechanic thinks its from the casing.

My question: is there an oil seal that goes around the casing or do I need to seal using a silicone paste?

I cant find anything on VagCat?

Yea there is supposed to be a seal there. N 90514401
