Unfortunately, it's still in the car - I have a 3B swapped Coupe Quattro. Comes from the '91 200 TQ from the U.S. - I assumed the guy who did the swap kept the 3B flywheel though he thought it was dual mass.

My RPM's are off by almost 1k RPM (difficult to tell if it's constant or not as I'm comparing with my NA (7A) CQ at 120 km/h it's at 3.4k RPM and the 3B swapped one at 4.2k RPM)
Is the L4 setting one of the "sliders" on the cluster unit itself ? Because that was one of my theories (till I pull it out to double check and change the computer display on it )

    Thanks for the reply

I had a chance to own 3 flywheels simultaneously: 3B(S2), ABY/ADU and one very strange flywheel, taken from original 10V NG with 228mm clutch but with timing pin (==NM and 7A).
Pin locations on all three flywheels were identical.

Also I have red that early and late 7A-s have different pin positions, but I can't confirm that.
