Clutch pedal help

Found this spring in the foot well today, removed the cover and had a look and I can see a spring up there, is this an old one only just fallen out or is it from some other place I can't see, clutch is still working fine, any advice welcomed.

looking at your 3rd picture it looks like the clutch spring is there maybe it was left there when it got replaced?????

Thanks Shaun, but after a quick search it appears that there should be two of these fitted, looks like i'll have to pay a visit to Audi and hope there not NLA

The Brown ABY clutch spring is PN 8A0721403E

The Red ABY clutch spring is PN 4A0721403E
