diff ratio question

hi,

im fitting a 6 speed 01E into my (originally kv engined) b3 coupe quattro.

i have assumed that the rear diff will be the right ratio, but can anyone confirm before i look stupid when i cant move the car

yes,they are both 4.11

any idea id the CQ diff is weaker than the S2?

for some reason i assumed they were the same rear diff?

Your originally equipped diff should have been 4.11, the only 3.89 Coupe diff is CAU from AAH. But keep in mind that not every 01E is 4.11: most early ones are 4.11, but there are later 01E-transmissions with other ratios.

b3 diff is equally strong as s2 diff
urquattro has also ratio 3.89
you can google gearboxcode and see witch ratio it has
