01e DQT Gearbox Ratios.

I thought that all 01e gearboxes sharde the same 1-2 gear ratios (with a big fall in rpm when changing from 1 to 2) - i contact the owner of this really fast audi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc3l3tsGqao , and he told me he uses a DQT gearbox (stock) , and it has a better 1-2 split. All the info from internet shows sames 1-2 gearbox ratio .. so who is wrong ?

The v6 tdi gearboxes I have used and rebuilt have lower 1st and second gears. I then used the 5th and 6th from a s2 or a v8 for slightly taller gearing and a 4.11 diff.

Hi. I have 2 DQT gearboxes one in my B2 coupe and one in the URS6 with AEL swap. Acording to etka these are the gear ratios:
1 gear: 28/8 = 3.5
2 gear: 34/18 = 1.8888
3 gear: 32/25 = 1.23
4 gear: 27/31 = 0.87
5 gear: 26/39 = 0.6666
6 gear: 23/41 = 0.56


Final drive 4.11 wide first and flexible main shaft. I hope i am not wrong with this

Acording to Etka and info on Internet all 4.11 final ratio 01e gearbox have the same ratios for first gears. But acording to owner the DQT has better split (closer first 2 gears) :-) don't know who to trust :-)

a4 b5 1998 are mine. They were made in other years of course
