  • Which Clutch?

I have a WR gearbox, with an RR clutch and flywheel mated to an RS2 ADU engine. The ECU is chipped to 395 BHP.

The clutch was second hand with very little miles on it BUT having covered just over 100, it slips in 3rd, 4th and 5th on wide open throttle! It may have slipped from the off, but due to 'other' issues with the car, I haven't really been able to drive it properly.

So I am assuming that the clutch is no good for whatever reason and there is no issue with the installation.

My question therefore is and taking into account the above specification, can you please recommend a decent replacement clutch?

In all honesty I don't really know anything about clutches other than there is the clutch itself and the pressure plate which again, I assume this all comes as a set when you order one?

You need one of a 016 gearbox though. Is it a 10v flywheel your using?

I've heard from few people that Sach SRE is very good and Steve just confirmed that as well

It's a flywheel off the RR UR which is a 20V which is single mass.

Is the RR flywheel the same as the 3B? If it is then I think you'll need the same clutch as me. I'll see if I can find the part numbers.

But its a wr gearbox? Then that's a 016 not a 01e. Different input shaft spline.

So could you use the disc from a WR with the pressure plate from a 3B?

Still not got this sorted. I've contacted the above company and this is what they've come back with.

                    Hallo,

                    thanks for your quote.

you have an ADU RS2 engine with audi gearbox? is it a 24teeth or 23teeth gearbox? do you have the pilot bearing in the flywheel or into the crank.

RS2 ADU engine has the pilot bearing in the flywheel!!! so i think you need a flwheel with pilot bearing.

                    thanks Jens

I never did get this sorted. My local transmission place put in a 30% uprated pressure plate in and now it's slipping.

Any UK companies that people can recommend?
