I found another basic missunderstood on spherical bearing shifter rebuild. I have gearbox out, so i can play with it very closely. All spherical conversion i saw, have center of new "ball" out of the center of gear lingage cup. I think original ball joint was centered circa where linkage pipes are welded to the cup/ball joint housing.
I made it as on pictures here on forum(also this thread) and i feel very stiff movement-almost priing on one side(i dont remmeber which, right now), first time. Then i move bearing more deeper inside the cup, solved
Second, already mentioned, is lack of movement. I must grind material on some places. When you triing to check enought clearance on car, it must be very difficult.

I changed to same imperial dimension bearing. Metric bearing needed bushing with 0,25mm wall thickness which I was no able to make. I sanded the shifter arm cup so that the bearing goes in with my own weight (=snug)
