I know this is not an S2 (or 2.2T) but with the wealth of knowledge on this board I believe this is the best place to ask. I have a 1995 80 Estate 2.0E ABK FWD which has a bad automatic transmission. I've decided to replace with a manual transmission. I have secured pedal box with pedals, an 012 gearbox, master and slave cylinders, shifter, linkages and driveshafts. My dilemma comes from deciding which flywheel and related clutch to acquire for this conversion. Can I use the dual mass flywheel found in the 1.8T along with the related 228mm clutch and pressure plate or should I look for something else? I've owned two B5 1.8Ts in the past and liked the feel of the OEM cluctch. Advice and opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance

When I did mine on the cabriolet for the engine swap - where that pic came from - I actually ground it down and r moved it. See here: http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.p...42943&start=45
When I removed the bushing on my ABH V8 I did it with grease -seen here:

I found this on Audizine, which seems like "Auto to Manual gearbox swap 101"

Just want to update everyone, the swap is now complete. I did NOT have to modify the crank. The only issue was that the ABK (2.0 8V) automatic and manual use different subframes. However, a quick call to Mike (Audibits) solved that issue. Thanks all, especially Grillage for the excellent guide on Motorgeek. Car now feels like it has about 20 extra hp.
