    Selector shaft balljoint

    Hey guys!

Im at a problem here. Having my gearshift being looked at, because I had trouble getting the car in reverse. I then spotted the balljoint had an immense amount of slack, so much the ball pops out the nylonbushing without me pulling it out. Since the selector shaft isnt available anymore, I have to stick to alternative methods. Is there a way to renew the bushing in the balljoint? and where to get a new one

SO open for suggestions on this one, really need it fixed. Please come fresh

    Best regards

I bought this to rebuild mine, but haven't fitted it yet so cant comment on how well it works, if at all. Its from 034 after all. https://store.034motorsport.com/shif...e-6-speed.html

It is alot better than my old worn shifter ball joint. It feels more precise with no play. The down side is there is a bit of stiction in the bearing meaning that it won't self center. A stronger detent on the gearbox would sort this. The other thing i will say is the old ball joint bush has rubber round the cup which soaks up vibration when putting car in to gear. With new bearing it feels more (for lack of a better word) mechanical when going in to gear. I have got use to it and don't even notice it now.
