    best gearbox and diffs for 1000bhp

    A mate of mine has bought a project and will hopefully be running near 1000 bhp.

    He is looking for info regarding what is the best Audi gearbox and diffs to hopefully support that power.
    I have the gearbox from the AEL manual 6 speed which I believe is a good box.

    The chassis is a Audi 80 quattro I believe with a R30 transplant.

    Any advice welcome

          Gearbox, diffs, shafts, CVs should all be considered consumables at that power level.
          There are people running the later flex shaft 01Es and stock locker rear diffs with big power but reliability ultimately will depend on the kind of use the car gets and how much mechanical sympathy the driver has, how much grip the tyres have etc etc etc.
