    clutch pedal going to floor?

    HI Guys
Yesterday after quite a bit of "spirited driving " all of a sudden the clutch pedal went to the floor ,came back up easily enough though, but as soon as i put any pressure on it it went straight back down, so parked up. Only being two miles from my mates, got his dad to tow me to his house with his rangie, all together car was stationary for about 30 mins with a 10 min tow got it back had a brew came out to have a look and its back to normal drove it round the block it seems , ok then 50 miles back home without a problem so my question is what could have caused this, only thing i can think of is over heated clutch/ fluid the fluid used is ATE super blue stuff
    Cheers
as always your input is much appreciated

Probably the rubber joint in the clutch master cylinder pushrod away to poop it's pants. Not too bad to change and not too costly either

It's either the master or slave cylinder. I had the plastic piston and spring fail in my master cylinder, I could only press it once to start moving and was driving without the clutch for a month until I changed it.

Just bleed it. It'll be full of water. It boils when you give it some. Tut tut. Service job.

Slave cylinder isn't that bad. Now the Clutch Master cylinder, that can be a challenge.

I thought the master cylinder wasn't too bad to do with the correct tools...can't even get to/see the slave

Yeah, I guess on a RHD S2 the radiators are in the way from the top. What about from below?
