Hello, i have strange problem with reverse gear. I bought S2 ABY with already damaged gear linkage(almost non drivable). Im converted to 2001+ S4 linkage. But found, after numerous test with old linkage and new(but occasionaly i was able to select reverse), im not able to select reverse anymore. Traced problem inside the gearbox. The pins of synchro ring are jaming and not go throught the holes inside retaining plate like it shut here:

No wear visible. When i loose twist/rotate motion of spring, then it go throught easily.
Does anybody go around this problem? May i just make sping bit loose or grind pins/hole edges a bit without hurting anything else?
