    Selector problem on RS2.

So, dew to years i've got wearied out ball housing in selector mechanism.
Part 4 on the picture. 8A0711334 - OEM number, but dropped w/o replacement.

So, the securing rind (part 8) not fixed now.

Everything works, but I believe sometimes it kills gearshift mechanism at all.

Is there known solutions for this problem?

You may be able to buy a selector from a 5 speed and transplant the reverse lockout guide

You mean but 893711334B and put stop buffers (8A0711133, part 5 on picture) from my selector?
893711334B and 893711334 just the same?

When I was stuck I used two screws.

But you could use window bonding urethane (silkaflex) to replace the rubber. Would require removing and cleaning the part.

          Irish2, thanks for reply.
But in first glance I think that my problem in white plastic "thing" that can't catch black plastic ring (and ball goes up from joint). How screws or new rubber fix it?
Can you please give some detail for dumb users.

This is just from my experience, not sure if you have the same trouble.

Normally the inner plastic ring is bonded by rubber to the outer frame. Overtime this rubber breaks down allows the inner plastic ring to move too much and leads to very sloppy gear change. And hard to select some gears.

In my case I used screws though the remaining rubber in the inner ring to stop that excessive movement.

            I hope that helps.

Looks like I've got something else. Tomorrow I'll try to disassemble this to check what really happens.

And another one question (as a possible solution): is anybody used this shifter from 034Motorsport?
