Can you tell me the diameter on the input shaft? i know it´s 23 splines, but need diameter to order my 3-plate clutch..

One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!

      VW / AUDI spline with 23 teeth, outside diameter 24,2mm + 0,1mm

before ordering look at the clutch drawings, with 3-plate clutch there will be not much left space for release bearing

            hello,
you use the Fidanza flywheel with a 3 disc Tilton clutch?Or 2 plate?

From friction to the Ball bearing by the main shaft Gearbox
            i have 3mm.

What have you taken her for a disc where the hub rests not on the ball bearing on the Flywheel?

            Thank you

In addition to the above suggestions I would look into having the gearbox internals ultrasonically tested and then cryo treated

One on the left is 016, the ones on the right for 01e.

In endurance race You'd most likely toast Your sync rings if not having small diameter clutch, so You are on a right path.

Just stay away from Nascar Tilton stuff, as they are not for endurance.

I do not have flywheels in stock for I5 and 01e, only for 016, or 2.7T+01e, but I do have the clutches, and I think I should be able to deliver the whole package in two-four weeks, depending on the work situation at the milling shop. Whole deal costs 1990 eur, flywheel, clutch, starter gear, ref pin.

And yes, 3-plate is a hard one to fit. Or the disc on the flywheel side won't reach the clutch shaft properly.

Mind bellhousing ventilation, or You'll fry the midplate and the clutch may get jammed.

And this works with the original Release Bearing?

I have like three customers that have updated round-face bearing, and fifteen with original ones.

So yes, it works with original, but yes, the bearing lever may hit the cage, and yes, multiplate clutches are ment for round face bearing, original is flat face one.

Problem with the upgrade is the height of the holder of the bearing, where there are a few different options.

Long story short, You can drive with original thrust bearing, yes.
