    Ur S6 Auto box rebuild

I need to get my Ur S6 (1996) auto gearbox rebuilt, as even after a filter and oil change, the 2nd to 3rd transition on anything except no throttle generates a rather large bang from the gearbox and the ensuing judder in the drive train.

Other than that the car drives fine after a number of years of not being used, but I would love to convert to a manual.

I live in Ashford in Kent and I was hoping that somebody might have a good review of any local gearbox rebuilders?

This link may be of use. Also Shaun on here has similar stuff ?

Having said that I liked my UrS6 auto. Drove it like a manual using the gear lever to go between 2 and 3 around town - seamless forward motion.

Still have it, but it is resting while driving a manual UrS6.

Others will have suggestions for who should rebuild it. Have a google for places in the US for ideas on how the box can be uprated to avoid it being the weak link if the car is to be fully chipped like a manual.

Can't remember the site. But there should be loads of info as they like auto in the US.
