    Clutch pedal, weird movement

    Yo yo!

Been having some trouble when I want to go in reverse with the gearbox, it feels so mechanical and hard to get into. I got a new slavecylinder and its bled + I renewed the pipeline inbetween as the rubbercoat had cracked, which made the flexible part expand more than anticipated. I took a look at the pedal arrangement and saw that when I push the clutch pedal down, the first 20-25% does nothing, but the return spring ontop of the pedal tries to "escape" and moves upwards as it get tightened together, before pushing in the piston. That to me felt odd. Any ideas on how it should work or is this completely normal?

    Best regards.

I think the spring movement is normal, I was under there just yesterday doing the master cylinder.

It sounds to me like you have air in the system still, bleed it with the clutch pedal all the way down and see how it is.

Do you know the condition of master cylinder? Mine was failing, and gave similar symptoms, though the pedal would stick half way down.... and the bite point would change every clutch/de-clutch!
