  • Gearbox and rear diff mounts

...where are people getting them from these days? Needed for a 3b

Just standard ones will do, need some rubber left somewhere

Boo hiss. I went poly from AnLe along with the engine mounts. There are various options but Lemforder, Febi, Meyle HD are all OE. Check autodoc as they usually have many options based on the or part no.

How harsh are the poly ones? I think there is so much lash across the transmission now it will be like mini explosions if no rubber to absorb some of it

Poly is too harsh IMHO, but it is subjective.
OEM are best for comfort and Lemforder are the best quality in my experience.
You can use Porsche 930 engine mounts, these are a lot stiffer than stock but still fairly civilised

Just to check were those 930 mounts for both the gearbox and rear diff or just gearbox?

almost impossible to find either...non at Audi and audi tradition pricing sucks lol

David, I have Powerflex diff mount and standard (New) OEM gearbox mounts. There is very little driveline shunt, no harshness or additional vibration. I think with the diff mount locked down firmer with the poly bush the car drives better....

              Cheers,

Where did you get the gearbox mounts from? I have had a powerflex rear diff mount on for years and it does hold it down but i think is far harsher than the stock one
