The 5 sp, aren't the best gearboxes for hi power usage (i've heard). But, I had mine for 3 years with 300 HP-ish on it. He lived to this day after all quattro starts I made with it
So that was not a bad gearbox.
I swapped it for a 6-speed now. 500 hp is a bit OTT for a 5 speed. :mischeif:Comment

I'll tell you when my new engine has had a chance to beat up the g/box!
Can anyone give me a serious answer to the weight of the 5sp v 6sp? I can't believe the 6sp is that much heavier, though it is undoubtedly heavier. Who knows this info?
