Was there a better answer for the type used?

Is it better for the 'HUBCENTRIC' style or 'SPACER and Extended wheel bolt' style?

    Cheers

Don't need a pattern mate, I'm after an opinion on which type is better/safer etc....

          Mark:
hubcentric would make more sense, correct? That way the wheel bolts are holding the wheel and spacer to the hub, and the hub is taking the load, vs placing the responsibility of everything on the bolts? No to mention hubcentric ensures that the wheel center is also centered with the hub itself...

Have heard horror stories of folks with non hubcentric rims having to balance the wheels on the car...

dosent matter what the bolts are doing too much, the important bit is the centre as long as the wheel runs true on the hub your laughing

i have 20mm spacers which i have be bored to suit the hub centre, then i turned a shoulder for the alloy wheel centre to locate on.

Mark it all depends on the size of the spacers you are going to use, you only need hub centric spacers when you start going above 8-10 mm spacers, if they are big (15-20mm) you will defo need hubcentric spacers.

Yep, they are 15mm so Hubcentric are ordered

Also, I want to put locking wheel bolts on but there doesn't seem to be any long ones available, anyone else done this? don't really want to do a stud conversion just yet. Or do I just do one on each wheel, then get a set of locking wheel nuts?

                      Cheers

Rotoryboy this is the reason i went stud conversion at the end of the day.

I couldn't find a locking bolt long enough, i tried the one from mcgard but it's the wrong radius seat it was R14 not R13 which is the Audi Raduis holt size.

If you have 15mm spacers then you will need 65mm length studs, i bought 80mm studs and MartinJS kindly cut them down for me

And what model Audi did you use for the locking nuts?
