Toyo do a very good, very soft, road-legal semi-slick, I think it's called the T888? That would be a good tyre to look at.

Is that they work great and you'd recommend them, or they work really badly and you can't wait to wear them out and replace them?

Imho u shouldnt use Rcompound tires as dragtires. the Rcompound tires have very stiff sidewalls so as not to flex when cornering. Thats pretty much the oposite of what you want when dragracing. When dragracing you want the sidewalls to flex so that they will take some of the shock when launching insteed of letting go.

So palles2 take a look att nitto, Mikey thompson or MH and they will have dragradials for this use. I would probably go for one or the other variant of nittos dragradials they are pretty street friendly and still has some seriously flexy sidewalls.
I would go for the Nitto555R (note not the regular 555 or thr 555RII since these are for turning with stiff sidewalls.) Heard pretty good stuff about them so

Ohh yea finally a lite photo to demonstrate the flex.

this weekend I ran quarter miles @ king of europe on Toyo R888's. i was pleasantly suprised with the grip. They really hang on to the tarmac. Great stuff. On the road nothing but A++. On a performance side of view they out-run the pirelli P-zero's. Don't think they will last longer then the pirelli's though...
When the Toyo's are worn, I have a replacement set of 4 new Pirelli Corsa's. Wonder how those will work and last.

                Cheers
