I have the go ahead from the war department to get some new wheels in the next month or so. I'm thinking of either 18 or 19 RS6.....I'd love S8's (the ones that are identical to my Avus but 18's) but simply cannot find any. I have been running standard 16 Avus with Michellin Primacy so the ride is smoooth, but i'm concerned with 19's and whether they will knock my teeth out OR will there be little difference between 18's and 19's anyway ? Also, what's the best tyres to run with either 18 or 19 : 225 or 235. Will 235's work with my car on I guess 8J wheels and what are the advantages of using 235's ? Thanks guys....answers much appreciated

I'm currently running 18"RS6 rims (et35,8j) on my avant with 225/40 x18 tyres, It's lowered on H&R's with rs2 shocks and RS2 arb's. I don't find the ride too harsh but IMHO 19's would probably look too big on mine and I'm pushed for space under the rear arches now. HTH

I'm running 18" S8's with 225 40 18 (et30) with the car lowered by 28mm. Nothing catches and the car is responsive without tramlining. I run Pirelli P Zero's and am more than happy with them.
