  • 18 x 8.5 / 9.5 offset

Can anyone recommend offsets for 18 x8. 5 up front and 9.5 rear?

Wheels getting done to a custom offset so need to get it right!

Assuming coupe... I'm going through much the same...

For the front...8.5J on an 18, I understand ET32 fits... just, but even ET30 rubs on the arch.

With an 8.5J rear, ET20 is good... so 9.5J... probably means ET 32 on the rear too... (If I've got my head round it properly...!)

I had 18x8.5” et37 wheels then fitted 15mm spacers all round so et22 was my final setup if driven on smooth roads I would just about get away with it but on bumpy roads not a chance so 10mm spacers would of been a lot better with extra 5mm clearance also I had big brakes which needed spoke clearance so that didn’t help.

I tried an 8.5" et45 with 20mm spacers, so effective et25. Was very close to the track rod arm on the front and about 15mm clearance to the 996 brakes.

Going to order up et35s I think.

Tempted to drop to 8" for some extra clearance to play with.

Haven't tried at the rear but easier to deal with I think.

It depends on the camber, if you got rolled front fenders, the tire profile (height) and vehicle height.

On my coupe i had 18" x 8.5" ET 38 with 10 mm spacer and i belive 225/40/18 tires and yellow Koni and lowering springs. Not rolled fendes.

You can fit 18" x 9.5" on the front with rolled lip on the fenders. Maybe you need 1.5-2" camber and small tires (low profile). You will hit the tie rod end first. I did some measuring on my car. I will post them if i find it.

have you looked at tyre sizes yet - if you go 8.5 front 9.5 rear?

                Also interested in this...

                Edit: Looks like :

                8.5J fronts
                10J rears

                Front - 235.45 R18
                Rear. - 265.35 R18

With new tyres only 7mm circumference difference...

I've decided for same front and rear now.

                  I was going for 225 for 235s I think
