Good tyres for the Avus rim?

Does 225/50/16 fit good on the avus 16" rim ?

I was thinking about getting Toyo Proxies so I have some better grip on the drag strip

I ran that set up before I fitted my 18"'s with no trouble

Been running Eagle F1 GS3 225/50R16s since December 2004 without any troubles. Just check that they don't rub on the track rod ends, mine never have but just to cover all the bases. Gives very little change in overall wheel diameter and loads of grip!

I saw on a BFG website that the 255/40/16 would go on a 7" rim, but that seems really crazy. Is it really possible to fit a 255 tyre to a 7½" avus?

i would have thought that a 10" tyre 255 on a 7.5" rim would be pushing it a bit that makes it 3" over sized
is n't there more risk of the tyre popping off the rim if you go too far over sized

Yeah I agree. But it would sure look cool with 255's on a 16" inch rim heheh. And lower my 60 feet times a bit
