Linky, seems to have most size wheels. Superleggera wheels like I have seem to come out really well

That's OK but the Superleggeras come in at 8.9kg...

Chatting with a friend who work in the motor industry, they work on a saving of 1kg rotationa mass as equivalent to 15kg from inside the car. Not sure on the validity of this but it does make some sense.

So at 2.1kg lighter per corner (8.4kg total) that's like adding a fairly hefty person... apparently!

They're not called Superleggera (= super lightweight) for nothing....

The type of wheel I'd fit if I broke my SuperTs

Oh and it's true, the loss of rotational mass is a really big deal - inertia for a wheel and come to think of it those big brake discs, all multiplies significantly.

No weights for BBS RY - booo!

Ah well, such is the cost of breaking the mould.

                      17"x8"

My mistake, I had these at 19.6lbs (8.9kg) but they're actually 16.4lbs so that's 7.5kg. They sure feel light!

The 7.5x17 BBS CH comes in at 9.6 kgs. Very strong wheel with good caliper space.

The BBS RK in 17" is fairly light 8.7 kgs

Have seen a few Superleggeras with cracks on the rim.
