  • 245/35 18 on a coupe

Looking at tyre options for some new rims - 8.5j x 18 ET35

Don't like the gay stretch look so was considering either 245/35s or 235/40s.

Would like the most rubber on the road as possible ideally the 245/35s but do they fit without have to roll the arches? Anyone got any info?

    Cheers

I know GT500 runs 245-35-18 on his avant so I can't see why not you wouldn't be able to fit them to a coupe. I thought coupe had more arch room for wider tyres???
Just some finishing touches to do now

Not much experience with this but ive just put 18s on my s2 coupe and the tyre size ive used is 225/40/18 which ive been told is the right tyre size without effecting the running of the car

Are you sure you wanna go for 245's ??

I have 235's on my coupe and the tramlining is only just livable with...

I Don't know if I would like 245's... they would, I guess make it worse...

Why make things difficult? Surely get some 8" wide rims and 225 tyres that'll definately fit. Also, are you runnig the B3 or B4 front end?

A friends coworker has 245/35-18" on his S2 coupe with 30 mm loweringsprings. It fits and looks very good!

                      Don´t know the ET though.

I have also 245/35 18 on my S2 saloon, with Porsche cup 8" wide with ET35 and H&R cupkit.
                      It fits. -Barely

You may need 5mm spacers at the front with 8.5J and ET35
