from 16 to 17's

Hi,

Looking at getting some RS4 replica wheels, but from a 205/55zr16 onto a 17inch rim, what size tyres should i be looking for.

Also the offset is ET35 rather than ET37 - will this cause any clearance issues or is it so small it wouldn't make any difference.

Offset should be fine - I've had a couple of 18s on ET35 with no problems.

Go the whole hog and go for the 18s - only £110 difference.

I have the Mile Miglia 17" RS2 replica alloys with these tyre dimensions:

225/45 ZR17 (GoodYear F1s - superb tyre)

Good compromise on sidewall height and maintaining ride quality, whilst filling the arches. Although the S2 seems to take big wheels visably very well.

Cheers Dan for the info - i have the Goodyear F1's on my 16's and they are a great tyre!!!

Doug - your a tyre/wheel makers dream customer and somehow I am now considering 18's.......you working on commission? I'd totally discounted anything larger but a phone around means i should have change from £850 fitted on the 18's...

David - it's just that when people change wheels and stay conservative(only go up 1 inch), a lot of the time they are dissapointed - 18s are still comfy while look big
