  • What size studs please?

I've picked up a set of Mk1 S8 Alloys as well as some 15mm spacers. I want to do a wheel stud conversion to make life easier but what length do the studs need to be?

    Thanks!

Someone else can confirm but I think you need a 70mm stud - M14 x 1.5 of course. Make sure to get the right shape nuts as well - they generally have a curved 'radius' face on OE wheels while aftermarket is often 'tapered'. Steel radius nuts are easy enough to come buy, but alloy ones are more hard to find and expensive - e.g Porsche / RS2 nuts are incredibly light but a new set of those will hurt your pocket.

I run 80mm and they'll easily take some 30mm spacers

I had to modify a 19mm wheel socket to be able to put the nuts on and off.
