Should fit with the right offset. Rear arches are big but fronts are 8.5J max really.
Just need to keep the rolling radius the same front and rear so 245 or 255 tyres with the right aspect ratio for the rear. 225 on the front.
I've been looking at 8 & 9 and I know Ryan has run anything from 7 to 9+.
Rolling radius may be in manufacturer specs or just use:
(Width x aspect ratio / 2) + (diameter x 25.4)
Make sure to get it within about 2% difference.
There's a thread somewhere with it all in.Last edited by Rusty; 21 October 2016, 09:07.Cheers'en, AndyC

Or just use an online tyre size comparison calculator. There are loads, here's one: http://www.willtheyfit.com/

or use the wider tyres on the front, should reduce understeer. MTM did this on the RSRAttached Files

235 is the max on the rear, at most perhaps 245 with the right wheel width/cambet and offset..can't recall the right amount as it was some time ago now. 235 on an 8.5J at the rear with ET27-35 range.
Heading that direction myself but not for a while now, still some tweaking to do1996 S2 ABY Silver

245/40/17 with ET 35 on an 8" rim fit easily on the back standard suspension, I have been running this for 12 years....The Perfectionist
