With all these newbies are there enough s2's to go around?

Hi all i'm hopefully about to buy my first s2 avant i've got a holding deposit on it and i'm off tomorrow to make sure all is well with the beast before i go ahead and buy it, I work for the AA (although not on the roads at the moment) so i've got a fair idea of what to look for in a car anyway but i must say the information and advice from all you guys has been no end of help, so thanks to all and here's hoping i can finally get rid of my mr2 and into a proper (and just slightly more practical!!!!) car

cheers for all the helpful information on here guy's i've finally found one it's an m reg 1995 avant in dark metallic blue, grey leather, carbon pack etc and done 140,000 with a full history for £4995 I took my mate with me who's an engine designer for jaguar and he's owned an rs2 before to give me some extra technical help we picked up a couple of minor faults with the car a wheel bearing 2 new rear tyres needed air con needs re-gassing but the garage are going to rectify all we found for me included in the price and i got £900 in part exchange for my old tired toyota mr2 so over all i'm well pleased look forward to getting a couple of mod's done exhaust, filter, forge dv and a re-map done in the very near future and hope to see some of you guys at some meets

Congrats on the new buy. im sure we will see you at a few meets, the next one is this weekend and there is another at castle coombe on the 29th too.
