hey guys! nice forum seen a audi something coupe lol, how can i tell if its an S2 or not it has the obvious grill badge and some dials in the interior erm a spoiler? alloys looks quite low.. what other engines were put in these cars? its done 140k and its up for about 700 quid on the forecourt. whats to look out for?

The quickest check are the wheel studs. If it's got 5 , it's an S2

i did notice it had only 4... what engine would that be, cheers

Could be:

2.0 8v 4 cyl
2.0 16v 4 cyl
2.3 10v 5 cyl
2.6 6 cyl

I would think for the money it would be the first one.

yeah it is pretty cheap its a coupe 'E' i think... is that any good or is it total rubbish? i have a Skoda Fabia with a 2.0 8v is it the same block...

Shouldn't have thought so, unless your car is of near enough the same age (and at the time that car would have been produced, I don't think Skoda were involved with VW and therefore not involved in any way with Audi!).

If you can stretch to £3.5k then you can get an S2 mate...

only thing im being put of from these cars are the miles, are they stil able to be used as daily cars? they are nice tho

TBH Most of the S2's on here have well over 120'000 miles on them. If they have been serviced and looked after they are fine. There are a few lads running S2's with well over the 200'000 miles, also running fine.
