Hello from new S2 project owner

Hi guys. my name is Adam, i live in NE England. Recently took on a audi coupe s2 project with a 3b engine. looking forward to gaining lots of knowledge and info from you guys, i am sure ill need it. Engine is currently undergoing a rebuild with 500bhp goal ( diving right in at the deep end).

Ill get some pictures up shortly.

Is the engine out for a rebuild at the min? What will you be using the car for once you have your target met?

the engine had bent a rod i believe, don't know why maybe running too much boost?. The previous owner had stripped the engine apart to rebuild it, but he never got round to rebuilding it.

Engine is currently at engine builders for

SCAT rods
ARP mains and head studs
Wossner oversize pistons
along with alot of other bits

Plan on getting a gtx3071 and tubular manifold shortly.

I don't have a specific use for the car really. fast road/ weekend toy/ track days.

To be perfectly honest i will probably get more enjoyment out of actually building the car and tinkering with it. Sad, i know

Make sure you upgrade the ignition from a distributor to avoid any more bent rods.
