Hi, I just joined the forum, I have a pearl white 2.6 b4 avant, sorry no S2, but im interested in creating an S2 recreation from it. I have bought a s2 bumper and s2 avus alloys, anyone done something similar?

It's been done but it's a lot of work and you need to swap over a lot of parts to do a proper job. The S2 has different suspension, hubs, interior trim, four wheel drive etc etc.
S2 prices seem quite depressed at the moment and there have been a few projects for sale at reasonable prices. I suggest you keep your Avant original and search out a good S2.
You could spend thousands converting your 2.6 but will never get S2 price when you come to sell.

Maybe i'l just stick to the v6 bumper and wait for an s2 avant - seem quite hard to come by in pearl white

        Welcome.

pearl is a pretty rare colour, suits the car well.

Welcome, if you just want it to look like one it's not too difficult.

Use a fwd B5 A4 rear axle complete or just convert yours using the disc and abs rings for the rear, parts you need to order are for early B5 fwd. The front is the harder part you'll need S2 hubs not easy to find now but doable. Front bumper of a V6 80 cabriolet is an easy find but the hardest part by far to find will be the S2 Avant rear bumper. Best of luck.

Think I'm going to sell the avus alloys now and just stick with speed lines and a v6 bumper, pitty as I really like the stock s2 look but s2 hubs seem pricey

They don't come up for sale that often but would look good on an estate and a lot less hassle than changing hubs and bearings.

Welcome to the forum, I assume you could also get hub adaptors to fit the s2wheels?

A company I phoned told me 4 stud to 5 stud adaptors were not a good idea though

                            I agree with that.
if you need any parts i have accumulated quite a stash whilst doing my S2 Avant rebuild. I have some new rear discs and lots of new suspension bushes if you need them as well as a good set of blue cloth seats and lots of trim.
