Not quite an S2 but close

Hi all

I have just aquired myself a 1993 S4 avant.

I know its not an S2 but hope I am still welcome as i have been having a look around and like the site.

Running gear wise my car is completely standard and will be remaining so for 6 months at least (having a garage built) but then I will be looking at a bit more power.

It has Koni adjustbles all round but am not sure which springs.
Fron ufo brakes are not on this car though I believe it should have them, I will work out what it has when I have more chance to look around it.

Another Ebay purchase?
I think it was for sale on Pistonheads for quite some time.
Looked like a bargain. It has all the right stuff done to it, if it is the same one.

It was for sale on ebay.
Didn't make the reserve though so sent him an email and phoned him the next night.

paid £1800 for it , which is probably a lot but I like it a lot so that probably makes up for it.
It all seemed very genuine, lots of pictures, then a link to more and another link to even more pictures.
Plenty of history and receipts
I believe it is all standard running gear wise, it has Koni's all round and has had the ufo brakes removed and replaced with I believe S6 brakes.

After picking it up I followed my mate to the first service from where we were and had a good look around it again, as we were leaving (bear in mind this was around 1 am) a big group of bodykitted hatches came in full of lads and were walking to the food halls as my mate went screeming off, Obviously it would have been rude not to keep up with him.
I still have the smile on my face from the side on drift the full length of the parking area with all these lads stood in amazement at the big ol estate car tearing up the car park.

I love it.

If it was on pistonheads (or watever it is) can you remember how much it was up for?

Hi Jon, and congrats with the S4. Looks a real nice one, like an avant version of mine!

Btw, if it's a late '93> it will have the 'normal' brakes from the factory (HP2) instead of the earlier UFO type.

Not sure when in 93 as the logbook has gone away now. Will have to look when we get it back.

Am very happy with it, need to find out as much about them now for if I decide to modify it.

I do need to sort a couple of the bulbs in the dash board and a few of the switches.

The year and the fact it has the 16" Avus wheels does show the fact that it has the HP2 brakes.
