The fuel tank sender cap (8A0201319A) needs replacing and is no longer produced by Audi. Does anyone know where one might be obtained?

Is it actually leaking? Cracks are normal.

If it's leaking, I might have a spare. Don't over tighten the banjo. New copper washers a good idea.

The garage has advised that the unit needs replacing along with the seal (which they already have).
