    Rs2 in kit form

Hi all, I've recently purchased an rs2 in kit form and will be actively looking for help and parts recommendations to get this thing back together.

I'm no stranger to buying cars in bits so it was something I thought I'd take the plunge on as it seems a worthwhile project.

As far as I know it's all there but time will tell when putting things back together ?

I'll upload some photos once I actually take some of it ?

Looking forward to seeing what you have taken on.
I too bought my Nothelle Avant in bits. Quite a lot was missing unfortunately.

      Swansea valley.

I Would say 95% of it is there as it was a complete car when it went in for recommissioning but the previous owner sadly passed away and the work was stopped with the car in bits. Some parts have already been Powder coated so my plan is to carry on from where the garage left off and do an under body restoration and powder coat the rest of the subframe components.

I'm about an hour from Swansea. You also have Kit who is up in Brecon. He is very knowledgeable with regards to these cars. Lots of other helpful people on this great forum. You have come to the right p!ace.

          Welcome to the forum...

As Dave says I know my way around most older Audi's and VW's having been working on them for 20 odd years, in the trade as well on my own cars and I'm ten miles from Brecon.

Any RS2 is worth saving as they're rare beasts now, though getting parts can be hard work and expensive, how many bit's is it in?

I was very lucky and picked mine up in 2015 just before prices went crazy. I have a lot of generic B4 spares having broken a few but nothing RS2 specific left as I've sold just about everything I want to part with.

All the running gear and subframes have been removed and in various boxes. The rear subframe has been completely disassembled and powder coated but no bushes have been fitted. The front subframe and arms are still crusty and the engine and box are still together on a pallet, and the fuel tank has been removed.

Everything in the engine bay has been removed too as this was going to be repainted, abs unit, master cylinders and whatever else is bolted in there.

So once I get my head around what goes where I think it'll come together ok.

Restoring the under body and painting the engine bay is the easy bit for me.

Compared to a modern car they're not too complicated, what colour is the car and what condition is the shell in?
