4000 Quattro from Colorado

Hey all!

I'm brand new to this forum, thought I'd make an introduction, ask for some guidance, and tell a little about my current stable. I'm located in Colorado, U.S.A. and am currently studying mechanical engineering. My current fleet includes

My daily: a '99 B5 A4 Avant 1.8T;

Project priority one: a 1983 VW Vanagon receiving a Subaru 2.5 & 5 speed manual;

Project priority two: a 1987 Audi 4000 Quattro (amassing parts for an AAN swap);

Project priority backburner: a basket case 1963 Dodge Power Wagon;

Lastly: a totaled '95.5 S6 Avant organ donor

I'm hoping to get started on the B2 AAN swap soon-ish, but as of now my limited resources are focused on my van project. In the meantime, I'm slowly trying to gather parts to support the swap. I picked up a crashed UrS6 last year, as well as 90 20v spindles and strut towers for an eventual 5 lug + coilover suspension overhaul. Hoping to get the suspension and brakes done well in preparation for adding power, and in terms of the motor, my intention is to run the factory Motronic initially, then consider going standalone once I am more financially stable. Hoping to contribute a nice build thread in the future and will probably be asking some suspension questions soon, (related side note: recommended reading on B3/B4 suspension into the B2 chassis?).

I'm definitely a beginner at projects of this scale, so any advice is greatly appreciated. Also, apologies if my image formatting is weird.

We love projects and especially pics.
My first advice, if not recently done would be to drop the sump on your 1.8t and clean the oil pickup.

where in colorado? Im in south Denver. Have a 4k 20vt myself.... wel almost finished. i hope...
