Hello from the US, new CQ owner

Hi, I recently purchased a 1990 Coupe Quattro. Odometer is broken but has 135k miles. Engine is strong with a long crank. Car was previously lowered with 2Bennet coilovers and 5 lug conversion. I plan to do the Porsche 996 brake upgrade, new suspension, and some engine upgrade. End goal is around 300hp.

It looks like it’s had a few tweaks already with the exhaust system. With a chip you’ll get around 280-285 on decent fuel

It has some crappy loud muffler that they added 3" from the flex pipe back. And it's the 2.3 20v NA so no simple chip for me.

That's a good survivor. Will you take the bonnet back to stock and put an original grille back on it?

Does that have A/C and/or cruise control? Pics of your interior / dash / cluster would be awesome

I don't know about the hood. I just happened to go to a junkyard that had a CQ but the grill was gone and the hood didn't look worth it. I wonder if I could get the carbon fiber hood fixed so I could put struts on it. And get rings to put on this grill and paint it all white. It does have automatic climate control and cruise control. Haven't tried either but the heat doesn't work so not optimistic.

I did manage to find a single din head unit with wireless Android Auto that has been working pretty well so far.

Took it out last night, took a couple of tries to start. Then to my next destination started right up. Then to home it took a couple of minutes and lots of praying to start. Noticed that the fuel gauge crept up very slowly. When I finally waited for it to get to the correct position, car started right away. Seems so inconsistent to be a check valve.

Oh no I got it from a private seller. There was another one at a junkyard but was completely stripped already less the instrument cluster.
