My name is Mário, i'm from Portugal.
I'm unfortunatly not an owner of a S2 or RS2 or any other particular special model, but i am proud of my little 80 Cabrio late version of 1998.
I had a small accident and besides the bumper and small bits that i already solved, my driver side headlight got hit and as i already knew, iiiiiiit'sss a very difficult to find part here in Portugal.
I had to consider finding options in Ovoko, Ebay, specific audi tradition websites (that type of platforms), but the ones that i found always have some type of problem along with it's price tags that makes me reconsider and be undecisive on what i should do... (not even going to talk about new ones, complete pairs whatever, guys asking for 2000 € - 3000 €
- the whole car is not much more than that as you know.)
In the end i think i found a solution in Kleinanzeigen (Germany) and apparently the seller is rxl on this forum - > https://www.s2forum.com/member/13084-rxl/about
I am being asked to pay through PayPal Friends and Family (that way i don't have any insurance or safety that the product arrives to me... it's a normal "bank transfer" where i have to believe in the person.) but he told me i should come here to the forum and ask you guys about him, if anyone has had any issues with him regarding buying or selling?
If some of you already made business with him like this please tell me, i would be thankful for your feedback.
Other than that, (another question) this deal is speccifically a UK version of the headlight and i know i cannot drive that legally in EU roads but i have been told and by what i've been able to search, i can use my damaged headlight main ellipsoidal (projector) lens (that is working fine) and swap it for the UK version in rxl example and that would be fine. Do you guys think it's safe for me to do this?
