Hello all from re2500, (Black CQ RE2500)

Hi All,

Ive been browsing bits on this forum for a fair few months but thought id finally join.

I Have a Black (Brilliant Black Poss? dunno?) 1990 Coupe quattro 2.3E that i fitted with a KV Gti Engineering RE2500 engine from my old series 2 quattro.

Other stuff includes, the much recommended Koni adjustable+H&R setup.
Currently got the head off for a rebuild and a new head gasket (What do you recommend for a head gasket by the way and how much)
And am fitting full 5 stud S2 hub conversion with s2 twinpot calipers and drilled discs. And using some mint polished 3b 16' alloys for new shoes.
Half leather from a 1996 v6.
Custom Exhaust
Custom Black taillight.
S2 Bumper
Fully Debadged
And much more but wont bore!

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get more power for little money? Currently about the 175bhp mark and many torques!

Just helped a mate fit a RE2500 in his 2.3 coupe ,its got larger valves and ported head
so would this be about 170bhp.Just got to fabricate the exhaust for clearance and alter the air box ect any tips or advice welcome.:

Cant say i had many problems like that, i have loads of info and specs on the Gti Engineering RE2500 if u need any, as standard its 170bhp so should be the same. I used a 2.3 NG manifold and the existing exhaust fitted, and i used the NG k-jet injection and air box. if you have any specific questions i will try and help

No im at university in Loughborough England, otherwise i Live in SouthWales.
SHe handled the Nurburgring 5 ppl up awesome, the handling is really good with the current suspension set up, it could do with the RS2/whiteline ARB's which im saving for, and im currently upgrading the brakes to s2 spec as the standards were cr@p.

The only problems i had was my dipstick was giving me crap readings, so i had actually underfilled her with oil which meant the computer was beeping and giving me grief with oil warnings on every corner, but a new dipstick sorted that! And the valvestem seals were buggad so she was pissing out blue smoke on overrun, hence the head rebuild.
