Have just bought my first Audi-a 1991 S2 5-speed.

The garage has got it at the moment for a service - hopefully will sort out the 00544 overboost issue as well...


114,000 miles, pretty clean condition, Porsche alloys, (which look a bit funny on this car) all for £1,850 from dealer.

Out of interest, incase no one else has shared it have a look at the S2 sales figures here (right at bottom of page) - Pretty rare!

The dealer was Bellevue motors - Price on the window was £2,995. Only got it so cheap as he did a 'trade' deal without any guarantees or comeback, and without even a test drive!

Was looking for something like a 330 BMW, but this caught my eye behind the TVR's & nearly new BMW's.

What other work is needed on it?

It really doesn't need much work - a rear brake caliper for one - came with tons of receipts (eg. cylinder heads at £900)

I'll keep the wheels for time being, but thanks for the offer.

Which is yours mate? I'm just eyeing up the red one on the left and stroking my proverbial beard at the thought of painting the bumpers and sides right down to the bottom. If it's not yours do we know someone that has this done?

Finally this 4WD laboratory is coming together...
-Air con now working with a re-gas
-Overboost protection now sorted-split rubber pipe just before the IM. Looked fine on the top...(lesson learned)

-Got a set of original 5 spoke wheels (the 'Porsche' ones that came with the car were fakes BTW)
