Hello all,
Browsing for some info and came across the forum so thought I would get involved. Hi to all, looks like you've got a great thing going here, some excellent threads and fantastic cars, good on yer!
I've had the S2 ABY powered Quattro for about 5 yeras now. I brought it from Kim Collins @ QS Tuning in Haywards Heath who built it as his own project car in 2000. The power came from one of the last ABY's built and had only 3000 miles on the clock. Since then it's been breathed on by MTM and runs a whole raft of other custom modifications along with Porsche brakes, Milltec Exhaust, OZ racing wheels and lowered onto Koni's. Produces about 330 Horses but coupled with 400 torques makes for an excellent driving experience.
I'll try to post a pic of some track day action at Castle Coombe a couple of years back, as you can see it was raining..... but wetter is better in my book, especially if you've got the 4 wheel drive struggling to keep up with the tarmac.
I also used to run an Original (Mostly) 10v Quattro which I spent lovingly restoring and which had only covered 65k when I purchased it in 99. I sold this to a board member (High Steve how you doing) a few years back as I was not getting any use from it and had no where to keep both UR's. It was (and still is as far as I can tell) a fantastic mint condition car... I loved the noise that 10v WR made, beats any other Quattro built since hands down and just reminds me of my days spent watching them storm the RAC back in the 80's
I just uploaded a pic of the UR but have no idea where it went... any ideas to help out a newbiw would be much appreciated. Although I just seen it's shown below so maybe will be visible once I hit "submit".
Bye for now, hope to see you all at some of the events over the summer, although the only one I have booked for certain is the October Audi Drive at CC... maybe we'll have a damp track and some fog again

I did however go straight on at bobbies in 2005 when I sheared my front disks clean of the hubs
and sadly ended up going home courtesy of the Yellow knights of the road. It's quite a scary prospect hammering it out of Tower only to realise you have no pedal coming into the turn, but what was worse was the horrific grating noise as the disks stopped but the wheels carried on turning...
