    Noob - please be nice

Hello everyone, I'm Mark from North Wales and I'm 21. I've just bought an S2 Avant earlier today but I've got to wait until Tuesday to pick it up.

Thought I'd sign up here as I dont know a huge amount about all the in's and out's of these Audi's but I'd like to find out much more, first of all, how many S2 Avant's were ever made? I dont remember seeing very many on the road at all. I'm sure there will be plenty more questions but I'll leave that for another time.

Here is the only picture I have of it:

Thanks for that, I've also just had a look at the spreadsheet as well that was a sticky in another section. Didn't realise they were so scarce!

            Hi Mark,

Please feel free to ask questions, but remember there is a search function and nearly all the basic questions have been anwsered already, so make yourself a cup of tea and have a read. You will love your S2 they are fantastic cars!

Looks like a nice Avant you have got yourself there.

            Cheers,

            Steve.

I ended up paying £2998 for it. It was up for £2699 on Auto Trader and I bought a 2 year warranty for £299 on top of that. It is a very nice one, and the picture does it no justice at all.

Should we ever meet, you have first dibs on having a go

Oooh I dont know, I'd like to fit some bigger wheels from the S/RS series, and chip it and sort out the induction and exhaust but its such a rare car it seems a shame to start doing stuff to it. Plus, it takes away from the street sleeper effect

You deffo want to keep the "sleeper" effect, that is what these cars are all about!

Get some clear indicators though. Talk to www.vagparts.com the original ones are about £30 a set I think.

                        Cheers,

                        Steve.

                            Yes Mate,

I was pretty close with the price. I bought those and new foglights and new headlamp glass for mine to make the front look new again!

                            Cheers.

As said, lots and lots of useful stuff on here, and plenty of knowledgeable (spelling???) people too..... chances are a few hours spent using the search function will tell you almost anything you need to know...
That is 5 minutes searching for what you need, and the rest of the time spent searching on other interesting stuff which turned up when you were looking....!
S2s are great, keep it looking fairly standard and you will scare the B'Jesus out of lots.....
