    Newbie,after S2 had VR6 turbo

Hello all, just joined up and looking around its a nice place you lot got here

Ive been into the VAG seen for as long as i know now and sold my last project to fund a house deposit,it was a corrado VR6 turbo, running a GT35/40R turbo custom bulit by myself kicking out 435bhp with 480ft/lb at the crank running some light internal mods.

Now ive had no car as i walk to work for about 6 months now and its driving me mad, looking at the cars that i can afford and are good to mod the S2 is what im after what should i look for? have you got a buying guide, more indepth unlike check body line ,oil in water ect ....

How much power/ torque can the diffs handle? what fitting is the turbo T3?

    Thanks

    James

welcome aboard mate. I'm not gifted enough to advise you on specifics of the turbos and specs of the cars but you're in the right place if you're keeping an eye for an s2 for sale.
there are 3 engine types that I know of. there should be loads of info already posted if you have a browse. each type has pros and cons. (i have an earlier 3B type. it's slightly lighter and factory spec says it does 0-60mpg 0.2 seconds faster than the newer engine types. But it's only 5 speed and.. it older quite obviously)
Some of the more experienced guys will give you better info but you'll get loads of good info by browsing to start with
    good luck mate

            Whereabouts in Durham are you?

There are a few people on this forum that are from the North East.

I live between Sacriston and Daisy Hill.

We have not met up for a while but I am sure we could arrange something. Sounds like your Corrado was a bit of a monster. What colour was it?

She was a handfull,if i kept her it would have been syncro by now and more bhp,it was dragon green.

here is a quick vid,it was its first run, running on supercharger map and only 11psi!

if you lot have a meet i will have a look down to get some one on one info.

                  Thanks again

Did you sell the car locally? There is one that goes past the front of my house that looks similar.

If you fancy having a chat and you are over near Sacriston give me a shout. I have an RS2 but should give you some idea as what to expect. I would take you a run in it but need the fuel lines replaced.

the rotex charger is the way to go if you want to go supercharger route,i had a VF2 charger and a pully a size of a 50 pence coin and it only managed 11psi at the throttle(305bhp-295ft/lb) as it had to much pressure drop via the intercooler, chargecooler would have seen 350 + but i hated the noise, but the rotex is quite and very efficent bit of kit, storm developments have a lot to do with them as you might already know.
would be good to see what BHP you will get out of it.

Sure I've seen that VR6 before, had a tussle with a quick green VR6 on the road between meadowfield and Brancepeth last year .
                          Maybe you?
