I've only recently joined the forum as I have finally given into the desire for an S2. I started with a 1995 80 Avant (1.6) a few years back and now have a 1992 80 Q 2.8 V6 with 55k on the clock. But the family is growing and I need the estate again. I did look at the Scooby as a potential balance between driving excitment and practicality, but combined with image and build quality there really was no contetest - it has to be a S2 avant.
So I'm on the brink of diving into the S2 world, and I've been looking at the blue s2 avant on Piston Heads. Does anyone know this car? I've spoken to the owner and it seems there's full audi SH till 125k and then specialist till now. Cam belt, drive belts and pump were all done at 141k. Front disks and pads done in last MOT. So overall it seems like a reasonably cared for car. The mileage is reasonably high, but not something I belive I should be worrying about too much if the SH is comprehensive.
I've looked through the S2 buying guide and have spent what seems like days going through all the posts gleaming as much info from you all as possible, but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the car in question? She's at http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/234379.htm if anyone has some advice
