    i really should say hello

well hello every one. I've been lurking around the site for the last 3 months now, but i final got my hands on a s2 at the weekend so i thought i'd say hello,

i got my hands on a 94 green coupe, with 155,000 mile on it. total standard (not for much longer though).

now for the really reason i said hello.

one of the rear diff mounts is gone. it's one of the front one's. do any of you have any info on them, part numbers etc were is the best place to get one (vagparts, gsf local stealer) and price. need one soon as it makes a rather loud noise when you thump the loud pedal.

o and my name is Mark

Welcome - The three rear diff mounts as follows -

        Left - 893 599 131 - circa £26
        Right - 893 599 132 - circa £41
        Rear - 893 599 125 - circa £80

Each one needs three or four M10x30 bolts N0147236 and washers N0115608
Oh and the right mount needs two longer M10 bolts N10102501.

And of course the rear mount has that M10 bolt thru the rubber to the subframe -
        N01047211 with N0211955 and a couple of washers N0115461.

The rear one usually goes first - hence the price. Try Agnews - you might be surprised, but try VAGparts as well - usually much cheaper than the stealers.

Whereabouts are you BTW ? Theres a few of us over here (and across the border) - been talking about a local gathering for ages - need to get it sorted really.

          Hello and

Not sure about part number but for OEM parts VAGparts.com are the best

          Cheers,

          Steve.

For the rear diff mount use the one from the ur quattro, you will need to press the old one out and the new one in but the mount is only £16.55+VAT. If you buy the S2 version it comes with the aluminium housing and costs £84.20+VAT (all prices full retail).

Or if you want to fit and forget have a poly/delrin version instead

the rear mount is ok as far as i can see. the only play is in the passenger side front mount.

i live in Lisburn Paul. i 'll have to come see you some time so you can work your magic on the ecu.

so my plan is to get the mount replace, then fit the nice set of brand new 6 pot calipers i have sitting in the garage.
