New member from Denmark...

Hi there folks,

My name is Christian and I'm an S2 fan!
I'm thinking of getting myself an S2 and thought it would be a good call to join a forum and ask for advice before buying. I have been a fan of the S2 for many years and now I think it's about time I get one

So please let me know if you should happen to have a few golden advice for a complete newbee.

My first question has already popped up.

What is the difference between the 2 engines 3b and ABY?

Try a little search, 3B vs ABY has been covered several times.

In short. 3B 220 bhp 5 spd gearbox, ABY 230 6 spd gearbox.

The 3B coupe is around 1420 kg, and the ABY is around 1525 kg, which is important in DK, as the 1500 is the limit where you go to the next taxation level (vægtafgift)

A 3B will be a little less than 5000 dkk yearly, ABY just short of 6800.

If you go to the Danish audiclub.dk we are also a few S2 nuts on that site than can offer some advice

Nice to see another Dane in the forum.
Do you think it would be possible to find a danish owner who would let me testdrive their S2? I would so much like to drive one and see if I'm as crazy about it after as I am now. I just want to drive one that is 100% ok, so I get a feeling of the car as should "feel". A bad maintained car could scare me away with a bad feeling...
The owner could give me a ride and show the power of the car and I could take a short drive just feeling the pedals, gearbox and steering response, nothing fast.

I just went through the S2central and found a lot of very good information about the 3B Vs. ABY and other S2 stuff.

If they would let you drive the car yourself is perhaps another thing.

But you could try to make a request on the danish club web site, perhaps a nice guy will let you have a go.

I had an idea about the testdrive would be asking a bit too much. No hard feelings at all. I understand and feel the same way about my own baby(car).

I'm curious to feel the difference between an S2 and the Golfs with 4Motion.
I just love the design of the AUDI S2 Coupe and the complete sleeper look.
