    Newbie.. kinda

At last I've taken the plunge...

I've been floating around the forum for ages deciding what my next Vag would be
And now I have a S2 coupe aby 93 as of yesterday... and even though the car has been neglected and suspensions DEAD , not boosting up properly , busted Speedo and 70s style pimp cream leather seats with black piping (yuck) I'm to embarrassed to put picks up with the dusty paint and nasy 5spoke ... But if anyone can get this Speedo sorted I'll buy them a .. Have to say cheers JP for talking me into it... And Thank Corey Mr. quattronics for the health check and my first life saving mods top mounts and Sub frame bushes...
Hopefully I’ll be getting it up to scratch soon
If any one has standard wheels they wont rid of or nice Oem 17's Pm me...

    Thanks

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

Whats up with the speedo? Is it not moving at all or is it just getting stuck as S2 tend to have this problem when the paint peels.
Is it still clocking up miles?

        Hi

Yeah ist still clocking on miles but it looks like the backing peel off and the needles caught..
Need to source a pod for a B gauge as I cant tell what boost its running.. spent all day swapping N75 valves and bumps rec valves that havent been touched in ages trying to solve the slow boost issue Corey pionted out.. got nothing to compare it with though

You can get replacement gauge face, I used to sell them but i just ran out.. The other option is to take the cluster apart and to stick the peeling face down with super glue, its not ideal but it solves the problem for the time being.

Your best bet to test the boost is to just plumb in a manual boost gauge. You can T in to the vacuum hose that runs to the ECU or directly at the back of the IM and then through the firewall somehow.
Have a search on the forum, its been done countless times before

I've just ordered a new speedo face from vagparts to replace mine as its not sticking and working fine but I just want a new one on there so you can get them still.

Best bit that surprised me is the price is the same as an rs2 one, pity the colour was not
