Just found S2 Forum after a hunt for S2 Avant

Still looking as i have missed out on 2 already - the disadvantage of living over the water from 99.9% cars for sale

Looking forward to becoming S2 owner

Been a VW head for years and done the Aircooled/Watercooled thing

Good luck - very rare you see an S2 come up for sale on this side of the water.

If you are seriously looking then expect to go shopping on the mainland - I hate to say it, but a nice S2 Avant can be had nowadays for very silly cheap money... Just not a desired car in the big scheme of keeping up with the Jones's !

I only know of about 8 S2/RS2 running around over here in total. We are a rare bunch - don't let the Jones's know

Oh welcome by the way ! You will come to love this forum (cos of the information and community ot provides) and hate it at the same time (cos of the continual urge to spend money improving, tweaking and preening) ...

Paul, theres a silver S2 avant just outside belfast direction and i know of 2 RS2 that way as well but as you said rare breed over here

i'm from portush although been living in glasgow for years now. I'm good friends with Stevie too. You should come over for a day on easyjet or ryanair and take a look at his avant n' have a nosey at his split screen camper too. soooo nice. but you'll no doubt already have chatted about that. I'd be amazed if you don't drive the avant home by the way. I still think he's friggin nuts getting rid of it but tobe fair he has enough on his plate with the camper and if he wants to go diesel golf then who are we to argue?

oh aye. he had it sent from norway or something, stripped it and painted and is now refitting it. it's more porsche than dub I think. He was too scared to drive the beetle when he finished it but I know it went to someone over there that appreciates it. wonder why it's for sale again?
I'm sure stevie's s2 will be there in the new year. he's not making an effort to advertise it over the hols so if you make over in january it'd probably start your year off quite nicely. I'm just trying to find the time to finish my coupe now and drive the damn thing.
hopefully i'll meet you if/when you nip over then.
